Not sure what to do next. Very denseand easily applied by brush, dip pen or airbrush. This may be a stupid question, but could I have sanded it too smooth to accept a finish? Is it even possible? India ink is super cheap, and you can buy tons of it at your local art supply store. Use India Ink A non-toxic ink, like India ink, would be your best bet. I let it cure for a couple of weeks and tested it by washing it with water and dawn dishwashing soap to see how the finish holds. She bought Speedball SUPER BLACK India Ink. The ink looked uneven but I thought that it was because it was still wet. My girlfriend went to an art store to get some India Ink for stick n pokes. I intended to use it for a fruit bowl, so I didn't put a clear finish on top of the ink. Hi, I am hoping someone can tell me what went wrong, I used Speedball India Ink to refinish a wooden bowl (I purchased) sanded smooth,carved, and finished with India Ink. Speedball Super Black India Ink is a free flowing, non-clogging, dye free, ink that offers unexcelled lightfastness.
